Into The Ocean - A Poem

59

By QudsiaP1

The ocean sends its messengers in the form of waves for you all its life and each time they dissolve before reaching you until one day finally they do and sweep you away.
The ocean sends its messengers in the form of waves for you all its life and each time they dissolve before reaching you until one day finally they do and sweep you away.

Devoid of any thought of Elixir or devotion,

Drunk beyond worldly concerns; I ask the ocean;

To come and engulf me within its arms so slender,

That neither of that drink nor of the world; anything; I remember,

With each passing yard; an unexplored mystery I will travel,

Leave me be; until soon enough; I begin to unravel,

Worried of my lack of zest and emotion,

My thoughts are questioned by the ocean,

“And what of words silenced promising no sound?”

“And what of tears lost yet never found?”

About to stumble but sober I posed,

I smiled and answered with my eyes closed,

Calming the waves in your current I shall rest my head,

As I reach thy heart; oh ocean on thy sea bed,

Drown me within your hearts of hearts where nothing I see,

Take me to such devouring depths where just another grain of sand; I will be.

This is really great.... your words are uniquely written... I like "... words silenced promising no sound" and the idea of you laying your head on the ocean bringing it to a calm state...

The ocean lends itself to poetry and you did it poetic justice. You have a unique and beautiful voice that is music to the soul---with or without the video. ;-)

“And what of tears lost yet never found?” - You Qudsia, are "the" poet. You are the beauty to which the poet aspires.

Charles Hilton, thank you so much. The ocean has always spoken to me then again almost everything has in its unique way. I try to do them justice as best as I can.

Hi Qudsia,

You poetry is unique and lyrical by nature and your creativity in expression is heartfelt. I feel your talent is more for poetry than narrative and it is obvious in your love for it. Our connection is obvious to the same love of words and placing our souls on a page for consideration. I enjoy your work very much. There are aspects of your narrative writing that requires some refinement especially in grammar and syntax, but it takes some much time to perfect writing (not that any of us can do that- but we are trying). That's what I love about the endeavour; no matter how much we learn, we realise there is always so much more. I'll look forward to watching you blossom on Hubpages. I know because it is happening for me. Speak soon.

I do love poetry because I feel that sometimes a few words on a page say more than any collection of essays. I enjoy reading along with writing, I have been following you quite closely and you are such an inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by. :)
