Listen to this music; it was Ben's choice and I think it fits with the poem perfectly.

Introduction to the poem

Ben and I wrote this poem together as a collaboration and honestly it just came out of nowhere, I guess that is what makes us love this poem so much. Ben commented on my last poem and we decided to do something together, and this little miracle was created over facebook chat. That shows everyone that we are not wasting time on Facebook, are we Ben?

P.S: The lines in bold-italic are the ones by Ben.

Everyone you just HAVE to follow and read Ben's works his hubpages name is BenWritings.

I had my beloved Ragnar in mind while transpiring this poem and I am sure Ben has a fine young lady who inspires his thoughts.

The poem begins from here:

Strands of hair etched into her skin,

Like coats of darkness covering her from within,

Her reflection was blurred within his vision,

A charming rendition of beauty befell him,

She felt her senses aspire to dream,

A dream of the one she seeks,

With each deep breathing her senses come alive,

What is this pulsating sensation that overcomes her entire body?

A dream so very convincing as this;

Must have some purpose outside of this bliss;

Two heartbeats make rhythm,

Converging into a melodic reality,

This unknown melody sings deep within her heart,

Almost as if she heard it from centuries ago,

Amongst the green fields running and playing,

Why was this sound not foreign to her?

Perchance a past life, or the death of a memory?

Infatuated by energy,

Swept in the moment,

They both knew somehow,

This was not their first meeting,

An enchanting experience took over her soul,

What was this experience?

What was this feeling that over came upon her being;

Did he feel like she did?

How would she ever tell him?

That she loved him even though perhaps she knew him not?

Familiarity must not be cast aside,

For one never knows what is fated in life,

As they melted together,

Through their gateways of eyes,

They both came to be;

A new creature entirely,

His touch upon her soul,

Melted like a fragrance that would enchant each onlooker,

Creating a scent that would attract all and then some,

An explosion of emotion;

The souls dancing the dance;

Their eyes mere portals opening new horizons,

Over the edge,

Into new heights of feeling,

Unknown yet inviting,

Not only physically,

But spiritually blending,

A dream, they did dream, and together they bathed;

In the vast pools of pleasure of which they were gifted,

This passion where does it come from?

How does it begin?

She knows not him;

Yet she feels entwined to him;

Her soul etched into his;

His into hers;

What divine magic took place here;

Was it the work of angels or demons?

How fine is the line between darkness and light?

When it comes to the art of seduction and love

Could the angels and demons be but one and the same

In this passion of senses and scents, they bask in

Is it dark within light or rays of light invading the dark?

The sounds and senses of passion over take the silence of the night,

Where angels exist not;

And demons possess no power;

Where bodies remain not bodies;

And souls seek redemption from the fire within,

Redeem us not, deity, from this moment we share

Just allow us to be here, and exist, till it ends

And when it all ends,

She looks into his eyes,

With all that familiar look;

He returns the look with a smile,

Looks like the dance continues,

The universe would have to wait.

Excellent work. Ben I'm jealous... QudsiaP1 is so beautiful... I like the line "She felt her senses aspire to dream" and "...vast pools of pleasure" says it all....

Thank you for the comments The Suburban Poet, but I do feel a correction is in order. Though both Ben and I may have written this poem together, my inspiration, my muse remained my Ragnar, with whom in mind I wrote this. While I am sure Ben had a young lady in mind when he conjured up these words. :)

Two broken hearts, one now healed and one still very raw came together and produced the melody of a love few will ever experience, but once tasted, will never be forgotten.

Beautifully written, both of you!
